The weekend of April 27-29
I took off with Mike to visit his
home town of
Sulphur, Louisiana.
We took in a short night at a casino
(I'm not much of a gambler, only
$20).
We took in a night of eating Cajun
crawfish
(they are tasty).
We also took in a day of fishing
along the gulf coast.
(we'll be fish frying Cajun style
here pretty soon).
Take a look at some photos:
Meet Larry, the captain of the boat.
That's Mike enjoying the ride:
I don't know these people. Just some friendly
fishermen crossing our path:
That's Mike's Dad, Harold, on the left.
Larry is sitting on the right:
A panoramic view of one of the small lakes (next
3 photos):
Ferry landing to get to Cameron by road, a small
town on the gulf coast:
These are the oil rig cargo boats: Big,
eh?
Shrimp boats: Is that Forrest Gump?
Back to fishing:
A view of the big lake:
Mike's liking this day:
Smile Mike?
Like father, like son:
Nice catch, Mike?
I was the only one who wanted to keep the catfish.
I will let you know how it tasted:
That's it for now.
