We then left Savannah later that night and drove North trying
to get as far as we could.  We made it to Lumberton, NC.

On Sat 09-29-01 we drove to the Outer Banks

As we were traveling thru the town of Warsaw, NC, we passed a truck on fire
Trent pulled out the fire extinguisher to cool things off
Notice the nice shiny fluid under the truck?
It was only brake fluid.

Always be prepared.  Do y'all have a fire extinguisher in your car?
Do y'all know how to use one?

We reached Cedar Island, NC
We were 5 minutes late to catch the ferry
The moral of the story is
"you put out a fire, you miss the ferry"
It was worth every minute

Finally, we could board for the 2.5 hour ride to Okracoke Island, NC

I said smile!

Why does the ferry and sail boat look level and the horizon not?  Hmmm
